Weekend Sewing Inspiration

March 30, 2013 by Andrea's Notebook

I was super busy this week. I’ve got 3 patterns about to be released and the tired eyes to prove it. I can’t wait to share everything with you! But for now, check out these great blog posts around the web!

Grainline Studio is in the middle of an Archer shirt sew along. If you’re tempted by that shirt, now is your chance to make one.

Are you excited about Gatsby? Miss Crayola Creepy wants to know if there is interest in having a Great Gatsby Sewing Challenge.

Have you tried flatlocking? Oonabaloona makes yet another amazing outfit with her first attempt at flatlocking.

I’ve been loving all the little girl dresses I’ve seen lately made with scenery fabric. Nest Full of Eggs made a beautiful one inspired by Monet.

If you like designing quilts you’ll want to check out the quilt design tool on Thread Bias.

There are tons of ways to make a throw pillow. Monkey Do is on part  5 of her How To Make  A Pillow series.

Jelly Rolls are a fun way to get a bunch of coordinating fabrics. The Sewing Rabbit has a fun tote bag tutorial using a jelly roll.

If you havent had a chance to vote in Project Run and Play make sure you go check out the first week’s projects in the All Stars series. This week was art inspired and it doesn’t disappoint.

Did you read or write anything interesting this week?
