This year for Christmas, I am giving my nieces, 10 and 11 (whom I’m pretty sure don’t read this blog – if they do…whoops!) their first ‘makeup bags’. I’m filling them with lip balm, a nail file and clippers, some nice lotion – and, just for fun, glittery nail polish.
I wish I’d run across this wonderful Open Wide Zippered Pouch tutorial before I went out and bought the little makeup bags…because these are MUCH cuter. It’s not too late for you though! These would be perfect for toiletries, a pencil pouch…really, the possibilities are endless!
Supplies:
- fabric, 1/4 yard would be plenty
- zipper, at least 10″ long or longer
- thread
- interfacing of your choice
- scrap for zipper end pull
