Featured: Little Betty Bag Tutorial

January 3, 2013 by Andrea's Notebook

Sewing a handbag is the perfect way to quickly treat yourself to something new. The Mother Huddle has an adorable little handbag tutorial with a chain strap that looks easy to make.

Little Betty Handbag Tutorial

Supplies:

  • all your sewing stuff
  • chain for strap – I like to use chain found in the jewelry making supplies at my craft store – they are more comfortable
  • D-rings or something similar.  I actually used a little buckle clasp I found in the button section and it was perfect. You want the d ring to be 1/2 inch or smaller.
  • a little scrap of bias tape if you have it
  • hot iron

Skill Level:

Advanced Beginner

Have you ever thought of using a chain for a purse strap?
