Weekend Inspiration

This is my last weekend before swim team begins again for my oldest three girls. That means life is about to get busy again. I’m assuming life if just as busy for you so I’ve got your blog reading covered for you this weekend.

Have you ever considered sewing yourself a jacket. I honestly havent thought much about it but this Minoru from Lladybird might have changed my mind. What do you think of the color she chose? I love it.

We just discovered that Peppermint Mag has some free downloadable patterns on their website. Thanks to the tip,  Tilly and the Buttons. Speaking of, have you made a Mathilde Blouse yet? Sleek Silhouette made hers into a dress.

Ready to take a leap into sewing for men? A great series on The Train To Crazy this week featured a men’s button up shirt, cycling jersey, pajama pants, zip fly shorts, and a roundup of other great inspiration.

And while we’re talking about males, Rae and Dana are Celebrating the BOY again this week. Check out both their sites for inspiration.

If you’re looking for baby quilt inspiration, Film in the Fridge has a beauty, not surprisingly.

Film Petite #7 debuted this week. The Big Lebowski was the theme. A Little Gray, Skirt as Top and Sew A Straight Line did it again.

Speaking of Skirt as Top. This Super Mario Brothers shirt is amazing.

Need to recover your ironing board? 3 Hours Past has a tutorial for you.

Calling All Kids, a non-traditional children’s clothing series begins next week on Alida Makes. I’m very curious to see what everyone makes.

Didn’t make it to QuiltCon but want a quick recap? Sew Mama Sew has you covered.

Did you read anything you loved?
