Hi Amanda. The seam allowance is 3/8″. I believe you can find it on page 7 (Step 2) of the pattern.

After the crotch seams are sewn, shouldn;t you just need to sew the inside leg seams and then turn right side out to sew the waist? I made two pairs without sewing the side seams and they turned out fine as far as I can tell ๐Ÿ™‚
