How to Make Binding Tape

Knowing how to make binding tape opens the door to creativity for a variety of projects. When you’re no long limited to the store bought varieties, the sky’s the limit. In this video, Creativebug shows how simple it is to make your own.

Supplies

  • strips of fabric cut to 2 and 1/4″ (for larger quilts cut to 2 and 1/2″ strips)
  • rotary cutter
  • cutting mat (with 45 degree angle on it)
  • pins
  • scissors
  • iron
  • ironing surface
  • ruler
  • sewing machine with 1/4″ foot
