Supplies

* All Fabric requirements are based on 44”/45” fabric unless otherwise noted.

Fabric Linen Shell – 1/4 yard
Cut:
– Front – 1 square 5 1/4 ” x 7 3/4”

Fabric Lining, Cover Border Trim, Pencil Pocket – 1/2 yard
Cut:
– Inside Flaps – 2 – 9 1/4” x 8”
– Inside Lining – 1 – 9 1/4” x 11 1/2”
– Cover Border Trim – 2 strips 1 1/4” x 7 3/4”, 2 strips 1 1/4” x 11 1/2”
– 2 Pencil Pocket Flaps
– Pencil Pocket 1 – 4 1/4” x 10 1/2”

Fabric – Solid White Pencil
– Small Scrap White

Fabric – Pencil Lead and Bottom
– Small Scrap Solid Color

Light Weight Interfacing, 20” wide – 1/2 yard
Cut:
– 1 – 9 1/4” x 11 1/2” Cover Back
– 2 – 9 1/4” x 4” Lining Flaps
– 1 Pencil Pocket Flap
– 1 – 4 1/4” x 5 1/4” Pencil Pocket

Other Supplies:

  • Moleskine Sketch Book size 5” x 8 1/4”
  • Poket Flap pattern
  • 90/14 size sewing machine needle
  • 1 piece light-weight copy paper or vellum
  • 11” 1/4 – 1/2” wide ribbon
  • Velcro (hook and loop) 3/4” x 1”
  • Matching thread
  • Fine pins
  • Chalk or fabric marking pen
  • Embroidery needle
  • Embroidery floss (I used one strand Size 8 perle cotton)
  • Acrylic ruler or “add a quarter” ruler
  • Rotary cutter
  • Self healing mat
  • Transfer paper

Finished Size: 5 1/2” x 8 3/4”, All seam allowances are 1/4” unless otherwise noted.
