Blackout curtains are not only good for blocking out extra light, but they may also save energy by holding in heat during winter months and even reducing outside noises. Two Twenty One shares a tutorial on how to create your own blackout curtains.

Supplies:

  • 6 yards of Premier Prints Jo Jo Corn Yellow Slub
  • 6 yards of Roclon Budget Blackout Drapery Lining Fabric
  • 1-1/2 inch white grosgrain ribbon
  • 5/8 inch white grosgrain ribbon
  • white thread
