Today’s Sew & Tell is courtesy of the lovely Sameeha, who whipped up the Tiny Bubbles Dress by Blank Slate Patterns. You can find the pattern for this adorable, trendy and versatile dress over at our shop!
Hi everyone. I’m very much privileged to be here today. I blog at samandtheguys.wordpress.com and I’m just new to the blogging world even though I’ve been learning sewing through it for years now.
Material used
I do not know whether its only me, when I looked at the cover pictures on the pattern, I thought it was a more formal dress. But as I went through the material recommendation it had all sorts, from cotton to satin and also KNIT. Isn’t that cool?
So I used a lightweight quilting cotton for a more casual look. The lining is also stiched out from cotton. I bought it from a local store in Sri Lanka. Unfortunately, it didn’t have the designers details.
The Pattern
The Tiny Bubbles dress pattern was written well with lot of step by step illustration pictures. The whole dress was lined and I just love the bubble in the bottom. The way the designer, Melissa, has compiled it makes it so easy, even for a beginner, to put the dress together in no time.
I just love this pattern and looking forward to whip up one in satin for my daughter for my cousin-in-law’s wedding, which is on the 18th of Jan.
Thanks again for having me.
