Featured Designer: Amy Smart

March 3, 2013 by Heather Damron

Amy Smart is Go To Patterns resident quilting genius. She currently has eight lovely quilt patterns in the shop. We’ll continue our Featured Designer series by getting to know her a little better!

amy smart

Amy Smart learned to quilt casually from her mom, and experienced quilter, but it wasn’t until she had her first baby 13 years ago that she began quilting in earnest. She worked for 8 years in a local quilt shop where she designed many quilts and kits for the shop. She began documenting her quilting adventures on a blog in 2008, Diary of a Quilter (https://www.diaryofaquilter.com/).

She lives in Utah with her patient husband and 4 kids. She also enjoys watching BBC dramas, eating fish tacos and is good at avoiding stepping on legos.
