Featured: Reversible Spring Coat Tutorial

February 22, 2013 by Andrea's Notebook

I just love the idea of reversible clothing. I mean, two garments in one. It’s space-saving, it’s economical. IT’S LESS LAUNDRY. This Reversible Spring Coat from you & mie is perfectly adorable and I adore that it starts as a simple bodice dress pattern.

Supplies:

  • 2 fabrics (yardage will depend on what size coat you’re making)
  • 4 buttons (or as many as you desire, just be sure they are the same size and you have enough for both sides of the coat)
  • interfacing (optional)
  • bodice pattern (there is one linked in the tutorial, but any basic bodice pattern will do)
  • sleeve pattern (or draft your own)
  • tracing paper
  • ruler

Skill level:

Intermediate.

See the full Reversible Spring Coat tutorial here.

Have you ever attempted to sew a coat? Any great tips for the rest of us?

Enjoy the tutorial? We encourage you to pin from the original source.
