Using a rotary cutter and cutting mat is easy. Unfortunately, they are often a bit mysterious if you’ve never used them. We have a quick little video showing you how to easily true up your fabric and cut a straight line with a cutting mat, rotary cutter and acrylic ruler.
So once you’ve got your sewing supplies you’re ready to start cutting fabric! Enjoy the video.

My very first time using a rotary cutter, I ran it right into my finger- twice! I haven’t done it again though! I don’t know how I lived without the rotary cutter when I first started sewing, it made a HUGE difference!
OUCH! That’s painful. Rotary cutters are definitely sharp. Good to point out that everyone should be very careful with them!
Is there such think as a “Pinking” rotary blade?
